Over the past few months, Menace Sport and the Texas Brahmas, of the Professional AA Central Hockey League, have partnered to create and manufacture uniforms for a few special event games. The games included an alternate purple design developed by our staff of designers, the Brahmas original Navy throw back jersey and also Beer League night! We thank the Brahmas and were glad to assist making the team look it’s best for these games!

Menace Sport @ NAT CUP

The Nat Cup (www.natcup.com) saw teams from Canada and the United States compete over the weekend of Dec. 1st in Detroit, Michigan. The concept behind the Nat Cup is teams are divided into 2 brackets: Firstly, by their birth age and then secondly, by their Country. Teams from the USA never compete against another USA team, as points awarded from a victory count towards an individual team’s standing as well as the overall Country’s score.

Menace Sport was the official jersey supplier for all the teams, well over 75 teams, as teams from both countries were not permitted to wear their official program’s jerseys, rather a specially designed uniform that was designed and manufactured by Menace Sport. The weekend saw some amazing hockey and some of the best looking team uniforms ever to hit the ice in tournament play, as stated by one of the team’s manager:

“OH MY GOD!! AMAZING! Why doesn’t every team order all their Jerseys from you?!?!?! Your tournament Jersey was nicer than the Jerseys from our organization.”

Well, we appreciate the kind words and were just happy to be a part of such an amazing event!

Rutgers – Pink in the Rink

–The emotion was flowing as the team surprised the crowd in their new bright pink jerseys. The opening ceremony started with a speech from Joe Ippolito and T.J. Fiorillo. “All of us are impacted by breast cancer – our mothers, our sisters, our aunts, our co-workers, and our friends. Tonight, we honor the courage of those who have battled, and are currently battling breast cancer. Tonight, we stand up against this disease, united with our teammates, our friends, and our family. With tremendous improvements in awareness, research, and treatments, the outlook is better than ever for those who are diagnosed. However, we will not back down, not even for a second, as we relentlessly pursue a cancer-free world. Join us tonight, as we celebrate hope.” Kevin Mathers escorted his mom, who is a breast cancer survivor, to center ice to drop the puck and presented her with flowers. Nick “Slash” Kashmanian played the National Anthem on electric guitar. The excitement for this wonderful event was felt throughout the rink.–

Syracuse – Breast Cancer Awareness

–Saturday, the Orange hosted their first annual “Pink The Rink” charity event, as they donned their pink uniforms to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation. The stands were packed and the Orange played with grit and determination for 60 minutes. After falling into a 2-0 hole, Simon Hebert drew the Orange to within one on a power-play goal with only moments left in the second period. About half-way through the third frame, Cuse tied it up on Aaron Witzel’s top-shelf goal.–

Rutgers – Stick it to Prostate Cancer

On November 19th, the Rutgers University D2 team held a charity event tagged ‘STICK IT TO PROSTATE’ to raise awareness and donations for prostate cancer. The D2 was inspired to hold the event to continue Rutgers University’s ongoing community outreach. The D1 team held a Breast Cancer Awareness evening in October. Menace Sport is honored to have designed and manufactured a jersey for Rutgers’ use for both these events. As seen in the pictures, the D2 team’s opponent was Gettysburg College, a new addition as well to the Menace Sport family!
